Mobile sculptures
balancing acts
01 About
My first mobile was created with a plumber and was a sort of Mad Max like Christmas tree, hooked to a water hose and a sprinkler on top ; the candles on the branch tips of the tree like shape would not go off as the water sprinkled around the balanced sculpture. This was some 25 years ago in Scandinavia. Over the years the sculptures have become softer and inspired by my loved ones and friends, their spirit and smiles as they watched the feather like shapes twirl in the air.

03 inspiration
Ever since this first creation, combining steel, stone, wood or any scrap elements has become a necessity. I have, from this balanced sculpture approach added few furniture pieces that seem to hang in thin air, inspired by mid century artists or architects
04 hands
Working from raw materials, random forms, the hands shape volumes and gravity while leaving room for movements; as in a never finished work ....
